BACC Rotation 9 Oxendine

BACC
Autumnwatch Rotation 9

Oxendine

 photo Screenshot-1887.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1889.jpg

Hey Hey! How has it going? Sorry I’ve not updated in a while, I’m back at uni and it’s crazy, I’m in my last year so I have to write my dissertation and try hand it in by January. Hahahahaha.
Now to distract myself from any work by updating!

Oxendine household!  I will reintroduce to you Clank the simbot stood with  Peter Oxendine and then Peter’s son Finley.

It’s a nice little household but this is an interesting chapter for everyone! And don’t worry, I’ll be posting like a double update type thing because at the end…. Well let’s just say you will want to know my plans etc.

 photo Screenshot-1888.jpg

The first thing I did was made Peter go and buy out the Science facility since they were only partners in it last time. Then with the leftover money I taxed them since they missed that out last rotation (amount at the bottom of the post and also buying this facility does something wonderful for the Sim Multiplier but I’m figuring that out later)

 photo Screenshot-1890.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1892.jpg

There are also a ton of cats in this household. I can’t even remember their names its been so long.

 photo Screenshot-1891.jpg

Little view of their house.

 photo Screenshot-1893.jpg photo Screenshot-1894.jpg

So Peter had just maxed out the alchemy skill so is researching all the different potions so we can increase the supernatural population! Most of the time though, I’m just hoping we’ll be able to buy the potion in the consignment store.

 photo Screenshot-1895.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1896.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1897.jpg

One of the potions Peter does successfully make is the Instant Age potion! He makes 3 bottles.
I used one Instant Age potion on Finley to grow him up into a YA even though he’s literally only been a teen for 3 days.
Who even cares. Let’s get you married, kid.

 photo Screenshot-1900.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1901.jpg

There are so many cats in the household and they are so messy. In real life I am a major cat person, the more the merrier normally! However, no cat is as messy as the cats in the Sims. Does my cat just vomit everywhere and break the scratching post? No. So sorry cats, I made an executive decision.
Goodbye Lia! The rest are still around.

 photo Screenshot-1902.jpg

Last time Clank had also maxed the inventing skill and was just making time machines for fun!
We shall be playing with this this rotation.

 photo Screenshot-1903.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1904.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1905.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1906.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1907.jpg

Welcome Maggie Gray, or should I say Maggie Oxendine.
It started as a date and ended in marriage.

 photo Screenshot-1908.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1909.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1910.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1911.jpg

Clank dies and I have to deal with all of the cats being upset. Everyone else in the household had the stone hearted reward so arent too bothered. Maggie cares a lot even though she didn’t know Clank, didn’t interact with her or even see her death.  Nice one.

 photo Screenshot-1912.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1913.jpg

To cheer myself up, let’s mess with the space time continuum!

 photo Screenshot-1914.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1915.jpg

Meet the fantastic Elizabeth Oxendine! She is a teen and she has shown me how great Maggie and Finley’s genes mingle together so I am very excited about future offspring.

(I get a better picture of her in a bit)

 photo Screenshot-1916.jpg

I try again in the future this time. I was unsuccessful but I will try again in a bit. I want a past, present and future child for the Oxendine’s.
Just to mess with your heads really.

 photo Screenshot-1917.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1918.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1919.jpg

Elizabeth is instantly aged up by Peter and now she is only a few days younger than her mum and dad.
But she looks so interesting and has a life time want to have 5 kids grow from baby to teen.

 photo Screenshot-1920.jpg

She moves out and will form the E. Oxendine household at the end of this rotation. She takes all the cats with her because I might have more patience by then and can breed them etc.

 photo Screenshot-1921.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1922.jpg

The third and final instant age potion is used on Peter, he is now an elder and officially becomes to first born in game sim to reach elderhood (beating his older brother Harvey, through cheating technically but whatever)

 photo Screenshot-1923.jpg

I don’t remember why I took this photo. Apparently Maggie preparing food was really interesting at some point.
Moving swiftly on.

 photo Screenshot-1924.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1925.jpg

Oh and she is also a coward! And that’s not even a random ghost – that’s Clank the simbot returning in human form.
Well, I don’t even know what to think.

 photo Screenshot-1926.jpg

Then I was so happy and having fun and realised, Fiona you’ve been playing sims for 4 hours and should really get showered and have lunch. Okay, save and quit.
I then re-entered the neighbourhood and Finley and Peter had broken.

I don’t know if any of you have read my NGC but it was the same situation as when Zed and Elvira (that vampire couple, second generation) went away and then disappeared from the box things on the left so it’s blank.

I tried resetting Peter and Finley. Failed.
I tried to boolprop and click on them but they weren’t interactive.
I tried splitting the household up and moving those out but they then completely disappeared.

 photo Screenshot-1927.jpg

I moved Elizabeth back in because she works fine and Maggie works fine so I was like right, I’ll just delete them and everything will be fine?

 photo Screenshot-1928.jpg photo Screenshot-1929.jpg

So these are my goodbye Finley and Peter shots.

Then my fighting spirit came out of no where and I didn’t want to quit.

 photo Screenshot-1930.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1931.jpg

So I deleted the objects and it still didn’t work.
I deleted the household and that crashed my game.

I ran out of ideas

 photo Screenshot-1932.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1933.jpg

I went over to the Messengers because I was just going to delete the Oxendine’s but then the game crashed when I tried to delete them. Then when I went to the Messenger’s it was weird so I was like, yep. I have to call it guys.

Autumnwatch is dead.

I taxed $55,000 on entering the household since I let the Oxendine’s off the hook last time and then I taxed them another $43,950 at some point before things went screwy since they had the money

Then my photobucket went weird so I was unable to post this because the pictures wouldn’t have worked so I sulked and had this huge break. I’ve came back and I can’t even remember the rules for BACC so here is a quick break down but don’t worry, I’m following this with a full update and hopefully good news.

BACC Rotation 8 Oxendine

BACC
Autumnwatch Rotation 8

Oxendine

 photo Screenshot-1690.jpg

Hello and welcome back to Autumnwatch! I am happy to report that I have finished my full time summer job so I can dedicate a lot of my time to the sims again! YAY! In other news, the computer I play it in, my boyfriends, will not be as accessible as he will be moving and I’ll only be around his a few days a week now instead of practically living there.

I’m working on a way to try and save it and move it to my parents with me (it’s more about just growing balls and doing it) but in the mean time I’ve played up to Rotation 9 so there will be a lot of reading and writing to do until we hit any bumps in the road.

Let’s get the ball rolling with introductions. We’re currently in the Oxendine household, here are Peter and Sage Oxendine.

 photo Screenshot-1691.jpg

Clank Oxendine.
Thanks for making an effort with the introductions.

 photo Screenshot-1692.jpg

And the only child of Peter and Sage: Finley Oxendine

 photo Screenshot-1693.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1694.jpg

I finally decided what I want Peter to do! I want Peter to master Alchemy and become a witch, then we can have some fun and add some supernatural sims to the population. New ones like fairies, vampires etc.
I am so sick of plantsims now and everyone wanting to grow more. And not having any more successful alien abductions. Neptune is going to have a boat load of kids just for more alien sims.

 photo Screenshot-1695.jpg

The household is currently wealthy so I send Clank off to run an errand.
An errand to invest in the Science Facility!
+1 SM point! Hopefully they’ll buy this place out later on.

 photo Screenshot-1696.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1697.jpg

There are also a glaring of cats. Various cats by various names. This one is Edgar and he is growing up into an adult.
I am definitely sick of cats. But I am determined to mix all the genes for one ultra cat or something special.

I plan to re-read all the parts to firstly make sure I haven’t missed anything important point wise but also to get the cat names and make a tree. Then I will breed a super Autumnwatch cat and we can put this whole cat business to bed.

 photo Screenshot-1698.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1699.jpg

So Sage scurries over to Mollie Slade who has a new batch of kittens.
Sage takes Mura here.

 photo Screenshot-1700.jpg

There are more cats than people so I have to let Tink go. Eventually I’ll probably let all of the cats go since the households are being rather good, no one has had a random cat in the household for a while now.

 photo Screenshot-1701.jpg

It is so difficult trying to mix potions when you haven’t got a lot of ingredients.
New object: earn the consignment store THEN become a witch.

 photo Screenshot-1702.jpg photo Screenshot-1703.jpg

Clank Maximizes Inventing through an opportunity! It is very exciting. Not a lot else has happened.
I took the random picture of Sage there, can’t remember why now.

 photo Screenshot-1704.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1705.jpg

Poor Sage.
She is just my go-to sim in the household to get things done recently.

 photo Screenshot-1706.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1707.jpg

Which is why it is really sad to see her go.
Poor poor Sage!

 photo Screenshot-1708.jpg

I get a jelly bean tree. I’m hoping it will cause some havoc. Which it has.
I’m counting this in the electrocution number total.
I’m thinking of counting all fires and electrocutions from the tree since they are a rare occurrence (apparently)

 photo Screenshot-1709.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1710.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1711.jpg

Finley herps and derps into a teen.
He’s interesting.

 photo Screenshot-1712.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1713.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1714.jpg

It is also the cats birthdays:
Shelley & Misty grow up into adult cats.

 photo Screenshot-1715.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1716.jpg

And then a third one.
Peter grows up to an Adult.
But there is no time for celebration. He is close to maximizing the Alchemy skill and will then be able to buy the elixir store

 photo Screenshot-1717.jpg

Clank made a time machine :3
We will have some fun with that in later generations!
(Currently I had to see it in order to pay for things later so she’ll have to make another one next rotation)

 photo Screenshot-1718.jpg

On the very last night of the rotation Peter maximizes the Alchemy skill!
I’m sure the Messengers won’t mind me running over a couple of hours…

 photo Screenshot-1719.jpg

Peter’s Witchy Things, The Elixir store. An extra CAS point that I am planning on using soon, but I just have no idea when. Part of me wants to save them up and just add households at a time but I want to add some elders to get the graveyard more than anything (morbid) So look out for my leathery sims maybe not this rotation but next!

I didn’t realise how expensive this store was when I put it down and it was just out of the price range by $10,000 or something. So I sold all the junk everyone had and worked really hard to get it so the household bought it.

Did the family get taxed this time around. Well. No. I’ll do it doubly next time.

BACC Rotation 7 Oxendine

BACC
Autumnwatch Rotation 7

Oxendine (P. Kay)

 photo Screenshot-1453.jpg photo Screenshot-1454.jpg

Welcome back to the Oxendine’s. Not the Messenger’s, I keep thinking Sage is Wendy because they are both elders with long hair. You would think that I would change it but no. That means buying a mirror or going into CAS and sometimes I just can’t be bothered.

I came back and this random guy was there. He is a maid. For a day these guys had a maid.

Anyway, ignore the one with the hat on, you’ll probably never see him again. In this household we have Peter (formerly Kay), elder Sage and young toddler Finley.

 photo Screenshot-1455.jpg

We also have cats Lia and Tink. Lia is a line from those other cats in the Kay household.

Since we can’t have any more babies due to Sage’s age, I have decided to try to have kittens with these two.

 photo Screenshot-1456.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1457.jpg

I also decide to use Sage’s Lifetime rewards and get her a new best friend. This is Teresa, but that name isn’t robot enough for me, so instead meet Clank. I can’t change her name so whatever. It’s not like you guys are going to come into my game and see that I’m lying.

I told you for honesty points ;)

-Servos are allowed and do count in the population” (TS2 BACC)

Clank is also going to count towards the population because she is lovable and has totally grown on me.

 photo Screenshot-1458.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1459.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1460.jpg

Until I accidently killed her. I forgot you simbots were technically elders. So I quit without saving and come back into the Shepherd household where I’d saved it before changing household. Urgh. Skip past this bit.

 photo Screenshot-1461.jpg

Blah blah blah, welcome back. Clank is back, and this time I won’t kill her.

 photo Screenshot-1462.jpg photo Screenshot-1463.jpg

Lia and Tink are successully pregnant!

 photo Screenshot-1464.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1465.jpg

I don’t play with simbots a lot so when Clank fizzled out and shut down I was like Noooooo How am I even meant to fix her? No one has any mechanical skills except Clank. The cruel irony.

So I set Sage on a mad mission to get her mechanical up.

 photo Screenshot-1466.jpg

Clank then buzzed back into action and I swear she is looking at me like “YOLO”

 photo Screenshot-1467.jpg

Peter maximizes (or technically, is about to in the photo) the Writing skill meaning that once they get the cash they can get the book store.

 photo Screenshot-1468.jpg photo Screenshot-1469.jpg

Lia has her kitten, little boy Edgar. He is cute but there is only one of him.
Excuse me Lia’s womb, I ordered more than one.

So Lia and Tink go at it again to give me more kittens.

 photo Screenshot-1470.jpg

I look through my other saves and can’t find a book store on it’s own so I nab another book-store that is also a spa (Is it the Mind-Body Spa from Moonlight Falls? Potentially)  so instead of a mere $20 something grand we now have to save up $80k.

Challenge accepted.

 photo Screenshot-1471.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1472.jpg

Finley grows up into a child which is great timing as I can use him as a source of income.
I mean nuture and encourage him to improve his skills.

 photo Screenshot-1473.jpg

Clank has been inventing most of the time. I’m hoping she will build her own son/daughter simbot which will make me happy.

 photo Screenshot-1474.jpg photo Screenshot-1475.jpg

Much better! And look at those markings, very cute!
Meet Shelley and Misty. Both girls and both cute :)

My long term plan is to make a new CAS household then get one of the kittens from the Oxendine’s and a kitten from the Slade’s and then breed them to complete the cat family tree. It will be a little bit in bred so maybe I should try and breed out a bit more …. but it is simply going to be wonderful.
It won’t happen this rotation, and it might not even be a CAS house that does it, but it will happen eventually and then I’ll draw up a family cat tree or something to mark the occasion.

 photo Screenshot-1476.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1477.jpg

It’s a real team effort to raise the money we need for the new community lot. I then spend the rest of the days trying to make as much money as possible. Here are the roles everyone played:

Clank invented stuff to sell including the digger which she used to find precious gems and rocks etc.
Sage used the digger more thank Clank since she was not doing a lot at anything else, she did have enough Lifetime reward points to get the inheritance perk to give us a swift $30k
Finley painted and painted until his hands were raw. That boy will sleep when I hit $80k
Peter wrote sports book after sports book.

 photo Screenshot-1478.jpg

Yahoo! On the last day of the rotation they manage to pull the money together and buy Oxendine’s Book & Spa shop or something along those lines. I’ll find out the real shop name, don’t hate me.

Hold the phone! I just re-read the rules and I think I need to award myself some SM points. This is exciting

+1 for your first community lot

+1 when you reach a total of 5 community lots

+1 for every 5 additional community lots

+1 when the first Sim invests in a business (see the Investing section)

+3 when 4 businesses have Investors

+5 when all 11 businesses have Investors

+2 when the first Sim owns 1 business outright

+6 when Sims own 4 businesses

” (TS3 BACC)

Now I haven’t been able to invest since I’ve just been buying buildings outright, however the free buildings (like the science building) will get investments later. Let’s focus instead on when the first sim owns a business outright. Why, that was Lorna Kay’s Grocery Store. The Kay’s own that so I am awarding myself a belated +2 SM!

The Oxendine’s place is the second business to be invested in / owned.

 photo Screenshot-1479.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1480.jpg

To celebrate Peter goes dumpster diving. He found a gem at least. Let’s get you home.

They are taxed, or are they…. I haven’t wrote a number down so maybe they got away with not being taxed, the mentalists. Only joking, I went back and taxed their asses a lump some of $3,010.
That is all for now!

BACC Rotation 6 P. Kay

BACC
Autumnwatch Rotation 6

P. Kay

 photo Screenshot-1292.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1293.jpg

Welcome welcome back to Autumnwatch!
I mean you’ve hardly been away what with all the updates but I never know how to start these things.
I wasn’t originally going to post this today but I’m going to get busy soon so I thought I might as well indulge you all one more time before I go away to London for the weekend.

This is Peter Kay’s tiny little abode. We last saw him in the Kay rotation when he moved out. Well this is where he went. He’s looking for a lovely lady to share this shack with.

He also moved out with Lia, a kitten, so she is around there somewhere too.

 photo Screenshot-1294.jpg

Just a quick reminder to show you what Peter looks like. Yes, very nice. The first day was a little slow.
Let’s look in that relationship panel and see who will be your wife!

Originally I had planned someone in the neighbourhood named Li Lo, but it appears I will be saving her for a rainy day.

 photo Screenshot-1295.jpg photo Screenshot-1296.jpg photo Screenshot-1297.jpg photo Screenshot-1298.jpg

Instead meet Sage Oxendine. I had originally wanted her to get close with Red (Peter’s brother and heir* of the Kay household) but I like her last name too much. I want an Oxendine household, and I want it to be this household.

*By ‘heir’ I mean prisoner, stuck in that household

 photo Screenshot-1299.jpg photo Screenshot-1300.jpg

So that happens! Meet Peter and Sage Oxendine!

On moving in, I realised Sage is 3 or 4 days away from elderhood, but for real this time. This isn’t like the time I thought Alani Shepherd was getting old and was pleasantly surprised when she was only becoming an adult, I double checked: Sage is getting old and fast.

 photo Screenshot-1301.jpg

So, to give the Oxendine name a chance of survival (and using fertility treatment of course) Peter and Sage make a lullaby.

 photo Screenshot-1302.jpg

I also adopted a friend for Lia since she was needing human interaction a lot. This is Tink and will be Lia’s playmate and maybe more if I get interested in the cats again.

He does have interesting markings and I do plan on having a cattery in one of the households…

 photo Screenshot-1303.jpg photo Screenshot-1304.jpg

After a normal day of working hard, Sage pops!

 photo Screenshot-1305.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1306.jpg

Then not a lot happens and she gives birth to a boy. Predictable.

Meet Finley Oxendine. The one and only Oxendine heir! I was going to lie to you all and let Sage have another child straight after but you know what, no. I wanted to be straight with you guys. More honesty points for me.

Honest points are just unofficial but I have 2 now, surely I can cash this in for an extra 100 Sim Multipler points? Fair? Cool, thanks guys, your silence confirms it all.

 photo Screenshot-1307.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1308.jpg

It also happens on Lia’s birthday, so isn’t that special! I like Lia for her markings as well, even if she is a clone of her parents.

 photo Screenshot-1309.jpg

This is their dreary little house. I checked the family inventory and again found a lot of wedding gifts which we sold.
The people of Autumnwatch sure are generous when it comes to wedding gifts.

 photo Screenshot-1310.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1311.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1312.jpg

Boom. Look at the Oxendine’s place now. They have the fanciest looking house in the city!

In hindsight, yeah maybe I could have got a resort to give these guys an income, but for now they are surviving on Peter’s royalties and the wedding gifts.
Obviously the house is a work in process, but hopefully it will stay largely unchanged for future generations.

 photo Screenshot-1314.jpg
 photo Screenshot-1315.jpg

Sage then grows up into an elder making Finley the official one and only heir to the big house and Oxendine name. I had moments when I was tempted to just bend those shiny rules, but I didn’t.
I also considered letting Peter have another kid with another woman but then it wouldn’t really be an Oxendine kid. Maybe he’ll just have to get abducted by aliens?

 photo Screenshot-1316.jpg photo Screenshot-1317.jpg

Tink has a birthday that night too…. You know its a good day when the cats are having birthdays.

Tink and Lia will have to have kittens now, what will I write about if I don’t have birthdays and pregnancies to document?!

 photo Screenshot-1318.jpg

As well as Finley. Triple birthday bonanza!
Interesting kid, he looks very proper. Already ready for being an only child and bearing the Oxendine name.

 photo Screenshot-1319.jpg

I think the kittens of these two will have interesting markings and then I could breed those kittens with other kittens in the neighbourhood to make one super cat!

But that will be next rotation most likely. We shall see. If they have them now they’ll just be given away when I go so there is no point getting attached.

 photo Screenshot-1320.jpg

I feel sorry for Peter, dislikes children and technophobe are two of his traits yet he takes care of Finley a lot and makes a living writing novels on a computer. Oh well, let’s now tax his household a whopping $2,600 and move on! Next rotation this household will be named Oxendine rather than P.Kay. Exciting!

By the way, both Sage and Peter completed their LTWs so that was exciting. Peter’s was to have $4,000 in book royalties which he has completed and Sage’s was to have $50,000 cash in hand for the household which they got on the wedding gifts.
